What is the RRB JE Examination?

The Railway Recruitment Board Junior Engineering or RRB JE is a national-level exam that is conducted by RRBs(Railway Recruitment Board). Candidates who are from engineering and science backgrounds can apply for the RRB JE examination. Some posts in RRB JE are Chemical Material Superintendent (DMS), Junior Engineering (IT), Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant (CMA), and Junior Engineer (JE). The RRB JE examination is held online mode. And the selection process for the RRB JE exam is categorised into three stages: RRB JE CBT- 1, RRB JE CBT- 2, and Medical examination.

Some Criteria of this Examination 

The Age criteria for RRB JE aspirants are between 18 to 33 years of age. And different posts in RRB JE demand different educational qualifications of the candidates. For Junior Engineer (JE) post the candidate must have a Degree in Engineering, Junior Engineer (IT) demands candidates to be PGDCA/B.Sc./B.Tech/BCA in computer science or IT, For Depot Material Superintendent (DMS) post, candidates should have a diploma degree in Engineering, Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant (CMA) demands at least 45% marks scored in BA degree of science.

Exam Pattern of RRB JE Examination 

The CBT-1 paper is a computer-based exam and the time duration given for this exam is 1 hour and 30 minutes. And the candidate who qualifies for the CBT-1 paper can appear for CBT-2. The subjects involved in CBT-1 are Mathematics, General Awareness, General Intelligence and Reasoning, and General Science. There are a total of 100 questions and each question is 100 marks. The CBT-2 examination is also conducted in online mode and the time limit given for this examination is 150 minutes.
